Project
Market sector review for a Northern Ireland company specialising in engineered cable management systems for high, mid and low-rise structures.
Client
Our client is a Northern Ireland-based company that manufactures a range of engineered cable management products and cable support systems for warehouses, data centres, factories and high and mid-rise commercial structures.
The products included cable and I Beam ladders, cable trays, steel framing, lighting brackets, and other fittings. The client is internationally recognised as an innovative designer and manufacturer and has been operating successfully for 50 years.
Objective
Undertake a review of the Australian market to confirm whether or not there was room in the Australian market for the client’s cable management systems.
Outcome
Strategy Australia detailed the market and competitive participants. It was determined that there were seven (7) local manufacturers, with approximately three (3) that held the majority share of the market.
A full market entry was not recommended. However, the project identified that a specific product manufactured by our client was absent in Australia.
Initially, a distribution agreement was sought for this product by the client with one of the local manufacturers.
