Project: Review of the Australian wholesale energy trading market for EnergyAustralia.
Strategy Australia was selected to undertake a review of the Australian wholesale energy, retailing, and trading markets for Australia’s largest energy company. The project included strategically critical work, which involved working with the CEO and the trading division.
The project included interviewing CEOs of major energy generation, transmission, and retailing organisations in all states of Australia.
One of the key findings was the need for better communications between the generator and the client when generating assets were offline due to failures or scheduled maintenance.
This allowed the client better visibility and control over demand and supply bid management and ultimately better peak energy trading.
