A prestigious UK-based manufacturer of electronic components, celebrating its 100th year of operation. Our client is renowned for designing and manufacturing high-performance EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), TEMPEST (secure communications shielding), and EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) filter solutions for the defence and other mission-critical industries.

Objective

Identify and secure a new, specialist pharmaceuticals prescription medicines TGA sponsor and distributor. The incumbent Australian distributor decided to exit the distribution agreement with our client following an acquisition by a global Pharma company. As such, our client’s products were considered non-core by the new owner, and a new distributor needed to be identified and secured in a minimal amount of time.

Outcome

Utilising Strategy Australia’s in-depth knowledge of the defence, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, we meticulously mapped the Australian market landscape, evaluating over 20 potential distribution partners based on criteria such as technical expertise, sector alignment, geographic coverage, and a proven track record in handling specialised Mil-Spec electronics. The best fit technology partner was subsequently secured creating a successful, new partnership between our client and a key Australian technical distributor with significant exposure to Australia’s defence, industrial and infrastructure sectors. The alliance is projected to boost our client’s market penetration within the first year, opening doors to major projects in defence upgrades and critical infrastructure resilience. This not only expands the client’s reach but also strengthens Australia’s access to world-class electromagnetic protection technologies.
